The main components of hot melt adhesive are thermoplastic polymers, tackifying resins, waxes, and antioxidants. Specifically, thermoplastic polymers (such as EVA, POE, and SBS) provide bonding strength and toughness; tackifying resins (such as rosin and petroleum resins) enhance viscosity; waxes (such as paraffin and microcrystalline wax) adjust melt viscosity and fluidity; and antioxidants prevent oxidative degradation at high temperatures. Fillers and pigments may also be added to improve specific properties. Hot melt adhesives are widely used in industries such as packaging, furniture, automotive, and electronics, and are highly favored for their fast curing, environmentally friendly, and solvent-free properties.
